Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Autistic Spectrum Disorder, or Autism, is a complex developmental difficulty, which shapes how an individual makes sense of the world.  It affects one's acquisition of communication and social skills, for example relating to other people.

Symptoms vary from mild to severe, and difficulties experienced as a result of this condition are described as being on a 'spectrum'.  For example, it can go unnoticed in some people, whereas for others, it can result in an inability to take part in normal society.

Many individuals with autism can struggle to understand the perspectives of others, which can lead to a lack of empathy.  Consequently, this can mean they find it difficult forming friendships and relationships.  No two people with Autism will have exactly the same symptoms.

Lexxic offers a range of comprehensive services to assess for autism and make recommendations to support performance in the workplace and/or further education.
